says he plans to plead guilty to the crime. dennis stanworth made the statement during a court appearance yesterday before his public defender asked for a one- week delay. the new charges come after police say stanworth called them to tell him he had killed his 90-year-old mother at his vallejo home. stanworth has a violent past. he spent time on death row, after being convicted of kin two girls in 1966 and raping four women. however, his death sentence was commuted in 1972 after the state supreme court ruled capital punishment unconstitutional. he was paroled in 1990. >>> two car washes will be held in san jose this weekend to raise money for a family killed in an apartment fire. the four died december 29th when a fire destroyed their west san jose apartment. the car washes are scheduled to be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today and tomorrow at the agave restaurant on monterey road. family members are trying to raise the money to bury their family members in mexico. >>> police say men pride open a lock on a front entrance, during the overnight hours. they then took mail fro
